There are four chalets in total each with its own unique rustic charm and characteristics.
The chalets are built into the environment so as not to disturb or deface the natural beauty of the area.
Accommodation Description

Each chalet has an open plan kitchen / dinning, and a shower bathroom. A shaded porch provides for a nice sundowner and shaded outdoor area.

b. Firewood: Bring enough wood for the exterior braai and internal fire place, also fire lighters and matches.
C. Miscellaneous: Black refuse bags, soap, washing up liquid, drying up cloths, & toilet paper, food and drink, hats, sunblocks, binoculars, cameras, and torches, ect.
NOTE: Some of the above items are available as options.
The fridge capacity is 100 litres only and in a hot environment can be overwhelmed by constant opening and closing of the door (for cool drinks, etc).
We recommend you bring a cooler bag / portable fridge for cool drinks.

NOTE: guests must supply their OWN bedding and towels. - Furniture & Appliances: 1 x dining table and 6 chairs, patio chairs, 2 x plate gas hob, 1 x 4 plate wood/coal stove (Leopard Rock Chalet only), 1 x exterior braai, small bar fridge, and hot water geyser.
** Should a same day booking be made over a weekend, ie Saturday / Sunday, etc, the fridge will not be switched on in advance of your visit.
General Rules / Notes
a. No pets allowed. b. ALTHOUGH A 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE IS NOT NECESSARY, A VEHICLE WITH HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE IS ESSENTIAL. c. Keys and options packages must be collected from Cederberg Oasis. Keys and bedding must be returned to Cederberg Oasis on departure. Distance from Cederberg Oasis to the chain gate is 6.2km. Allow for a one hour trip between the chain gate and the chalets.

1. Cederberg Oasis is NOT connected in any way to Cedar Rock / Cederberg Chalets, other than providing key access. All their rules apply regarding OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES!
2. Collection and return of keys is to be done STRICTLY between 8am and 5 pm. NO LATE OR EARLY HOURS WILL BE ENTERTAINED.
3. Do NOT leave your refuse at Cederberg Oasis, or anywhere else in the Cederberg. The wilderness law applies “Take out what you bring in”.
4. Visitors travelling in any vehicle other than a 4 x 4 or HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE (or rugged 2 x 4 ) vehicle, do so at their own risk. We will NOT entertain claims for damage to wheels / tyres, or undercarriage components, etc, or inability to reach your chalet. You are entering a true WILDERNESS AREA, and sections of the (Cape Nature Conservation) track are extremely bumpy. NO LOW VEHICLES PERMITTED.
